Remote work; professionals reinvent themselves
Digital Services in 2020
‘Seek for agile solutions that are easy to incorporate’
Is a new business era;
According to the estimates of the International Labor Organization (ILO), by 2015, 10% of the economically active population in Brazil and Argentina had some form of remote work, this percentage ranges between 2% and 4% in other countries such as Chile and Mexico.
ILO explains the rapid growth in this area "as an opportunity to generate greater sources of employment and also encourages the inclusion of women and people with disabilities in the labour market."
The United Nations Organization states that in 2020 these numbers have risen due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, it did not stop the economic impact caused by the situation and due to this sudden and obligatory change, many companies were negatively disrupted because they did not have a way to carry out most tasks remotely.
Eduardo Martínez - Leader of Remote Teams, agrees with the predictions and proposes:
“We can build a system of collaboration for modern teams to obtain optimal benefits, adding up strengths in the workflow and thus stand out in the markets of the region, offering the best quality of products and services.”
Latam Asiste promotes remote work through digital consulting for modern and agile teams. These areas often demand physical presence almost out of obligation on the part of the employer; however, many organizations today are under constant pressure to keep fixed costs low.
To achieve this goal and contribute to the evolutionary process and better development of the company, teleworking offered by outsourcing companies emerges as the best option.
New frameworks and methodologies
Teleworking is inserted in this new era of entrepreneurship, as an adaptable alternative to the new normality, allowing to explore the different platforms, which will allow companies to prepare for the future and compete agilely within their niche, resulting in efficiency and effectiveness in the daily tasks of an office, which will now be transformed into a virtual office.
At the Dialogue Forum held on March 13, 2017 by the ILO, the difficulties and opportunities of teleworking in the information technology, communication and finance services sector were discussed, highlighted:
a) its degree of diffusion.
b) its economic and social risks and benefits.
c) labour relations.
Among the participating countries were Japan, Costa Rica, Ecuador, South Africa and Chile, they agreed on the advantages of promoting teleworking in their governments and that it provided flexible forms of work, the inclusion of vulnerable groups and how to ensure the application of the principles of decent work in a diverse and heterogeneous society.
A professional with flexible hours and the option of executing their tasks in various locations translates into a company capable of achieving its objectives in the expected time.
